2nd 9 Weeks

Dear Hawks,

It was so fun to welcome our Future Hawks to Hebron for our biggest orchestra concert ever!  Hope you caught a t-shirt. ๐Ÿ‘•๐Ÿ™Œ. Thank you all for your support as our program has grown to 500+ orchestra members between our four middle school and high school campuses.  As we approach the physical capacity of our facilities we may experiment with our concert formats.  No matter what we do we canโ€™t wait to share music and learning with you all.  Next we turn to our focus to our Winter Concert on December 8.  We have several events in the meantime.

Fifteen Hebron Orchestra members were selected to the All-Region Orchestra festival in December by competitive blind audition.  Congratulations to the following students: Jenny!  Esther! Annika! Mady! Kenny! Evan! Olivia! Thomas! Danica! Allen! Vikram! Caleb! Ashley! Daniel Abraham! and Jordyn! It is an individual journey to even prepare the audition music, which includes technical demands far beyond the expectations of the orchestra class.  We are proud of all who challenged themselves to work on this music and audition.

Next up, several of our All-Region students will be taping for All-State on Saturday.  Additionally dozens of our middle school students will be auditioning for their chance to be selected to the All-Region festival in December.  Good luck/break a leg to all of our students recording or auditioning on Saturday!

Fall Picnic

Our fall picnic will be Saturday, November 5 at Oak Hills Park from noon to 3:00pm.  We will have picnic food & drinks, and the student leadership team will have several activities for everyone to participate in. Please take a moment to fill out this Sign Up Genius for what your student can bring to the picnic:

Gift Galleria

Our Chamber Orchestra has combined into small chamber groups to play at the Silver Wingsโ€™ annual Gift Galleria.  December 3 from 9:00am-4:00pm at Hebron 9.  Feel free to shop around for some gifts and enjoy some holiday music from the orchestra and choir.
