We are excited to share our UIL programs with you all tonight at our Midwinter Concert. The program will be announced from the stage. Please help us have a great concert by observing the following concert etiquette guidelines:
CONCERT ETIQUETTE:
Please remind students and other visitors of proper concert etiquette.
– Cell phones must be OFF! (Sometimes even on silent they will make noise, like Amber Alerts)
– Quiet talking or whispering is only allowed when there is NOT a group on stage – Enter/Exit the auditorium ONLY when there is not a group on stage
– Food, drink or gum are prohibited
– Young children or others who are unable to maintain silence should not be inattendance
– Flash photography is prohibited
– Since this is a concert, appropriate applause is always encouraged and appreciated.
It is important however to know when it is appropriate to applaud (for instance, not in the middle of a multi-movement work, or during a grand pause). Always look for the conductor’s baton to come down. This generally indicates the end of the piece.

Dear Hawks,
It was so fun to welcome our Future Hawks to Hebron for our biggest orchestra concert ever! Hope you caught a t-shirt. 👕🙌. Thank you all for your support as our program has grown to 500+ orchestra members between our four middle school and high school campuses. As we approach the physical capacity of our facilities we may experiment with our concert formats. No matter what we do we can’t wait to share music and learning with you all. Next we turn to our focus to our Winter Concert on December 8. We have several events in the meantime.
All-Region
Fifteen Hebron Orchestra members were selected to the All-Region Orchestra festival in December by competitive blind audition. Congratulations to the following students: Jenny! Esther! Annika! Mady! Kenny! Evan! Olivia! Thomas! Danica! Allen! Vikram! Caleb! Ashley! Daniel Abraham! and Jordyn! It is an individual journey to even prepare the audition music, which includes technical demands far beyond the expectations of the orchestra class. We are proud of all who challenged themselves to work on this music and audition.
Next up, several of our All-Region students will be taping for All-State on Saturday. Additionally dozens of our middle school students will be auditioning for their chance to be selected to the All-Region festival in December. Good luck/break a leg to all of our students recording or auditioning on Saturday!
Fall Picnic
Our fall picnic will be Saturday, November 5 at Oak Hills Park from noon to 3:00pm. We will have picnic food & drinks, and the student leadership team will have several activities for everyone to participate in. Please take a moment to fill out this Sign Up Genius for what your student can bring to the picnic:

Gift Galleria
Our Chamber Orchestra has combined into small chamber groups to play at the Silver Wings’ annual Gift Galleria. December 3 from 9:00am-4:00pm at Hebron 9. Feel free to shop around for some gifts and enjoy some holiday music from the orchestra and choir.

Orchestra families, we are at about 70% turn-in for all of our annual orchestra forms. Please turn in the forms and fees as soon as possible, and the fee is available to be submitted in installments. The budgeted booster club expenditure for this year is more than $190 per student, and includes annual expenses such as our formal and informal uniforms, maintenance fees, festival registrations, and more.
Thank you all for your support of the orchestra and we can’t wait to see you all at the next concert!
